What Happens if You Change your Mind About Selling Your Personalized Plate?
Depending on your broker agreement, there may be penalties involved if you decide to cancel the sale of your personalized plate. This would, however, depend on how far along the sale process you are. If you have only just listed your personalized plate and no buyer has yet been found then the penalties are likely to be quite small. If, however, a buyer has been found, they have already made payment to the broker, and the sale is then cancelled by the seller, the seller will be responsible for paying the broker's commission even though they don't benefit from the sale. This is because the broker has an obligation to refund the buyer.
